Candidate Services Director

Description overview: The Minnesota House DFL Caucus is seeking a committed, experienced campaigner to lead our Candidate Services department and help win back a majority in the Minnesota House in 2026.

Caucus Candidate Services Director job responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the point of contact for House DFL candidates and their campaign teams, while working with them to run top-notch campaigns. Areas of focus include: field, fundraising, communications, and overall operations.

  • Hiring, training, and managing a team of candidate services assistants with the following responsibilities to support House DFL campaigns.

  • Teaching new candidates how to effectively set up their campaign operations and announce their candidacies.

  • Advising candidates and campaign managers on how to recruit, train, and manage effective campaign teams. Collaborating with candidates and campaign teams to develop a campaign-specific path to victory, including district-specific field, fundraising, and communications goals and benchmarks.

  • Establish a culture of accountability with candidates and the House DFL Leadership to ensure effective execution of individual campaign plans.

  • Connecting House DFL candidates and campaigns with campaign resources and partner organizations.

  • Oversee the House DFL Caucus fundraising partnership with existing safe-seat House DFL members.

Qualifications: Ideal candidates will have at least two cycles of campaign experience and some management experience. Candidates will also have the ability to demonstrate superb judgment and political savvy. House DFL Caucus staff are expected to be team players with an outstanding work ethic and must be able to manage multiple projects at one time.

Compensation: $85,000-95,000 annually
